Morgado de Sta. Catherina ist eine Referenz für Arinto-Weine aus der Region Bucelas und trägt das jahrhundertealte Erbe der großen Weißweine der Region. Die Geschichte von Morgado de Santa Catherina, zu der auch Quinta da Romeira gehörte, reicht bis ins Jahr 1703 zurück, als es gegründet wurde und die Absichten von D. Catarina de Bragança, Königingemahlin von England, erfüllte. Der Wein stammt aus Arinto-Trauben Weinberge Quinta da Romeira, mit manueller Ernte. Die Moste wurden in Edelstahltanks und französischen Eichenfässern vergoren. Die Prozentsätze wurden zweckmäßig angepasst, um eine gute Integration des Holzes zu ermöglichen, ohne die für Arinto charakteristische Frische, Aromen und Geschmacksrichtungen zu beeinträchtigen. Während der 8-monatigen Reifung in französischen Eichenfässern erfolgte die Integration des Weins mit dem Holz mittels Battonage . Nach diesem Zeitraum wurde die letzte Charge durchgeführt und bis zur Abfüllung in Edelstahltanks gereift.
Citringelb mit leicht goldenem Farbton
Sehr breiter Mund, mit Volumen, in perfekter Balance mit einer atlantischen Säure. Im Mund bleibt er aromatisch, umrahmt von der Fassreifung. Sein Ende ist hartnäckig.
