Vinifizierung des Quinta do Cardo Grande Reserva Branco: Nach dem Pressen der Trauben fermentierte der Most in 500-Liter-Fässern, neuen und gebrauchten, aus französischer Eiche. Es folgte ein Jahr der Reifung auf den gesamten Hefesatz der Fermentation. Die Quinta do Cardo ist das historischste Weingut der Beira Interior, gelegen zwischen der geschützten Landschaft des Internationalen Douro-Reservats und dem historischen Dorf Castelo Rodrigo, auf einer Höhe von etwa 750 Metern. Ihre 180 Hektar Fläche beherbergt Wälder, Korkeichen und etwa 80 Hektar Weinberge, die seit 2009 nach biologischen Produktionsmethoden zertifiziert sind. Die Quinta ist ein sorgfältig erhaltenes Ökosystem, das die Biodiversität und die Entwicklung der einheimischen Fauna und Flora fördert und zur Schaffung von echten Weinen mit starkem Terroir-Gefühl beiträgt.
