Die Clase Azul Mezcal Durango wird aus wildem Cenizo-Agaven hergestellt, die 12 bis 15 Jahre zur Reifung benötigen. Diese Art von Agave wächst relativ reichlich in Durango, wo dieser Mezcal produziert wird. Clase Azul folgt dem gleichen traditionellen Destillationsprozess in einem Palenque wie jeder andere handwerkliche Mezcal. Ein beeindruckender Punkt über diesen Mezcal ist, dass die Agave von Hand gemahlen wird, anstatt einen Esel und eine Tahona zu verwenden.
