Die Quinta do Monte D Oiro, gelegen in Alenquer, ist seit dem 17. Jahrhundert als ein privilegierter Ort für die Produktion großer Weine bekannt. Das Ziel des Produzenten José Bento dos Santos, eines bekannten Kommunikators und Förderers von Gastronomie und Weinen, ist die Herstellung von hochwertigen Weinen im europäischen Stil, die das vorhandene Terroir respektieren – eine einzigartige Kombination aus Böden und Klima. Im Weinberg des Monte D'Oiro sind die Rebsorten Syrah, Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Petit Verdot und Viognier gepflanzt, mit denen der Produzent einige der am meisten gefeierten Weine in Portugal und weltweit hergestellt hat.
