Vale D. Maria kreiert seit seiner ersten Abfüllung im Jahr 1996 einzigartige Weine. Unsere Vision vom Douro ist, dass jeder Winkel dieser Region aufgrund der Variation in Landschaft, Klima und Rebsorten seinen eigenen Charakter hat. Wir erkennen den Wert des Terroirs bei Quinta Vale D. Maria für die Herstellung von Weinen mit einzigartiger Identität an. Bei unseren Portweinen betrachten wir jede Abfüllung seit jeher als etwas Einzigartiges. Dieser Philosophie folgend haben wir alte Weingüter im Douro-Tal nach einigen der letzten Reifefässer aus sehr alten Ernten durchsucht. Im Laufe der Zeit hatten wir die Gelegenheit, einige verbliebene Drachen aus ausgewählten Jahrgängen zu erwerben, die wir sorgfältig als eine unserer wertvollsten Sammlungen aufbewahrt haben. Wir haben mit der Enthüllung unserer Sammlung mit dem Vale D. Maria Old Tawny Colheita Porto 1969 begonnen. Und jetzt ist es an der Zeit, mit etwas Überraschendem fortzufahren, einem seltenen gealterten Branco Portwein, dem Vale D. Maria Old White Porto Colheita 1940.
dunkle Farbe mit bernsteinfarbenen Nuancen und gelben Reflexen.
Am Gaumen ist er ausgewogen und offenbart gute Frische und Harmonie. Es hat einen super langen und sehr angenehmen Abgang.
In der Nase ist er opulent, mit Zitrusnoten und einem Honigkern, der die Merkmale getrockneter und karamellisierter Früchte aufweist.
