DER WEIN 1872 Quinta da Foz Vinhas Velhas Branco stellt in der langen Geschichte der Quinta da Foz ein unvergängliches Datum dar, das in der Inschrift eines Steins an der Fassade des Haupthauses verewigt ist und die Gründung der Quinta markiert. Für diese Ausgabe wurde sorgfältig eine Charge einer limitierten Serie von 600 nummerierten Flaschen vorbereitet. Er entsteht in den besten Parzellen der hundertjährigen Weinberge der Quinta da Foz, mit einer Mischung von etwa 15 weißen Rebsorten.

Die Farbe ist zitronengelb, klar mit leichten strohfarbenen Tönen.
Die Textur im Mund ist präsent mit einer guten Säure, ausgewogen mit einem cremigen Körper, mit einigen noch lebendigen Tanninen, die ihr Potenzial mit der Flaschenreife zeigen. Zart lebhaft, mit Frische und Kraft, in einem runden und frischen Abgang.
In der Nase ist er zitrisch, mit Noten von reifen weißen Früchten und leichten blumigen und zitrischen Aromen, bereichert durch geröstete, süße Aromen mit einem Hauch von Vanille und „Gebäck“, die durch den 12-monatigen Holzausbau mit Batonnage entstehen.
