Derzeit geschlossen, scheint dieser Wein einen Charakter zu haben, der Trotanoy ähnlicher ist als jeder andere aktuelle Jahrgang, an den ich mich erinnern kann. Kraftvoll, strukturiert, maskulin, aber ein langfristiges Angebot: Dieser dunkle rubinrote/violette Wein zeigt Noten von karamellisierten Schwarzkirschen, Süßigkeiten und Wildfrüchten mit viel Würze, Erde und einem Hauch von Kräutern. Der Wein hat sehr hohe Tannine, eine beeindruckende Konzentration, aber das Tanninniveau, das man im Mund spürt ... Dies ist ein Petrus, den man wahrscheinlich für mindestens 8-10 Jahre vergessen und in den nächsten zwei bis drei Jahrzehnten trinken sollte. Ich finde es immer ironisch, dass Petrus, der praktisch zu 100 % aus Merlot besteht, später ist als die ersten Gewächse des Medoc, die von Cabernet Sauvignon dominiert werden.
