DER WEIN 1872 Quinta da Foz Vinha da Placa, Vinhas Velhas rot, sticht in der langen Geschichte der Quinta da Foz als unsterbliches Datum hervor, das in der Inschrift auf einem Stein an der Fassade des Haupthauses verewigt ist und die Gründung der Quinta markiert . Für diese Ausgabe wurde sorgfältig eine Mischung aus mehr als 30 einheimischen Rebsorten zusammengestellt, die auf der ältesten, wärmsten und am besten exponierten Parzelle der Quinta da Foz entstand.
Das Herz des Busches ist tief.
Im Mund präsentiert er ein gutes Volumen, runde, aber feste Tannine, eine ausgewogene Säure, Noten von schwarzen Früchten und einen langen, frischen und harmonischen Abgang.
Aroma mit guter Intensität, mit Noten von sehr reifen roten und schwarzen Früchten. Mit vorhandenem, aber gut integriertem Holz, was zu einer sehr komplexen Mischung mit süßen, würzigen und balsamischen Noten führt.
