Famosa pelo seu Vinho do Porto desde 1751, Ferreira também se dedica à selecção e envelhecimento de aguardentes vínicas de alta qualidade. É nas nossas caves em Vila Nova de Gaia que as aguardentes são cuidadosamente escolhidas e envelhecidas em cascos de carvalho de 270 litros. A fim de obter a qualidade máxima, procede-se periodicamente a provas e à introdução de vários lotes de diferentes idades e características. Depois de escolhido o lote final, a aguardente é colocada em cascos de 640 litros, onde envelhece.A Aguardente Velha Chancella é obtida através de aguardentes seleccionadas (licor obtido través da destilação de vinhos brancos) provenientes de lotes de alta qualidade. É uma aguardente natural sem aditivos e envelhecida durante alguns anos em cascos de carvalho português nas caves da Ferreira.
