DER WEIN 1872 Quinta da Foz Vinha da Placa, Vinhas Velhas Rotwein, zeichnet sich in der langen Geschichte der Quinta da Foz als ein unvergängliches Datum aus, das in der Inschrift eines Steins an der Fassade des Haupthauses verewigt ist und die Gründung der Quinta markiert. Für diese Ausgabe wurde sorgfältig eine Charge vorbereitet, die auf dem ältesten, wärmsten und am besten exponierten Teil der Quinta da Foz entsteht, mit einer Mischung aus mehr als 30 autochthonen Rebsorten.

Am Gaumen zeigt er ein gutes Volumen, runde aber feste Tannine, ausgewogene Säure, Noten von schwarzen Früchten und einen langen, frischen und harmonischen Abgang.
Aroma mit guter Intensität, mit Noten von reifen roten und schwarzen Früchten. Mit einer präsenten, aber gut integrierten Holznote, die zu einem sehr komplexen Gesamtbild mit süßen, würzigen und balsamischen Noten führt.
