Der Petrus 2016 hat eine undurchsichtige violettschwarze Farbe und gleitet mühelos aus dem Glas mit Noten von warmen schwarzen Pflaumen, Blaubeerkompott, roten Rosen, Ceylon-Tee, Veilchen, mit dunkler Schokolade überzogenen Kirschen, Lakritze und Zimtstangen, mit Noten von Eisenerz, Bleistiftmine, ungeräucherte Zigarren und zerkleinerte Steine. Vollmundig, tief und absolut belebend am Gaumen laden die dicht gepackten und wunderbar parfümierten Schichten roter und blauer Früchte wie Defibrillatoren auf, die Ihr Herz höher schlagen lassen, jeweils mit schmerzhaft subtilen blumigen und würzigen Funken, perfekt umrahmt von sehr fest und körnige Tannine und eine kräftige Frische, die mit einer unglaublichen Länge endet und ihn in eine Tiefe führt, die zu einem provokanten eisenhaltigen Unterton führt.
