Opihr Oriental Spiced Gin wird aus einer Auswahl exotischer Pflanzenstoffe hergestellt, die von der Meisterbrennerin Joanne Moore von Hand geerntet und sorgfältig ausgewählt werden. Überwiegend finden wir: Koriandersamen (Marokko), die für Zitrus- und lebendige Noten sorgen, Cubeba-Pfeffer (Indonesien), der sich mit Wacholder verbindet und Noten von Kampfer und Menthol hinzufügt, und Tellicherry-Schwarzpfeffer (Indien), der für den pfeffrigen Nachgeschmack verantwortlich ist. Die botanischen Elemente im Opihr-Gin beenden ihre Reise in Englands ältester Brennerei, wo seit 1761 traditionell hochwertiger Gin nach der gleichen Methode wie London Dry Gin destilliert wird. Hier werden die Pflanzen mit englischem Alkohol kombiniert, um einen exotischen und würzigen orientalischen Gin zu erzeugen .
Der weiche Kampfer, eine gewisse Süße und orientalische Gewürze sorgen für ein warmes und anhaltendes Mundgefühl, das jedoch nicht an Intensität zunimmt.
Intensive und kräftige Nuancen orientalischer Gewürze, sanfte und seidige Duftnoten und eine warme, erdige und würzige Basisnote, die gut mit einer lebendigen Explosion von Zitrusfrüchten aus Gewürzen und Fruchtschalen harmoniert.
