Petrus 2013 wurde im Juni 2015 abgefüllt. Er hat eine für einen 2013er sehr tiefe Farbe, sehr klar und klar. Die Nase ist zweifellos sehr attraktiv und entfaltet sich sanft mit schwarzen Kirschen, Jod, Potpourri und einem Hauch Blaubeere. Die Aromen sind weich und unprätentiös, aber immer noch sehr Pomerol und immer noch sehr Petrus. Am Gaumen ist er mittelkräftig und für einen 2013er sicherlich gut strukturiert, wobei die Tannine ein körniges Mundgefühl vermitteln. In diesem Moment fühlt es sich im Mund salzig an, frisch und ohne Anzeichen von Grün. Im Kontext der Ernte 2013 ist es ein gelungener Wein, und ich schätze die Klarheit dessen, was man als „klinischen“ Abgang bezeichnen könnte. Er hat nicht viel Ausdauer und geht schnell und nicht abrupt durch die Ausgangstür. Nein, es ist bei weitem nicht der beste Petrus, den es je gab, aber er ist auf jeden Fall besser als frühere Jahrgänge wie 1986 und 1996.
