Quinta dos Bons Ares liegt im Douro Superior, in der Gemeinde Vila Nova de Foz Côa, in einem ganz besonderen Terroir, wo der Granitboden und seine Höhenlage den Trauben eine Säure und ein aromatisches Potenzial verleihen, die in dieser Region ungewöhnlich sind. Neben diesen Eigenschaften ist die weitere Besonderheit dieses Weins die Mischung aus der Neuen und Alten Welt, zwischen traditionellen Rebsorten (Touriga-Nacional und Touriga-Franca) und internationalen Sorten wie Cabernet Sauvignon sowie zwischen den Granitmühlen und den Robotern aus Edelstahl. Casa Ramos Pinto ist mit diesem Wein ein Beispiel innovativer Tradition. Ein moderner Klassiker.
Granat mittlerer Intensität, sauber, hell
Elegante und sehr weiche, seidige Tannine, verfeinert durch den langen Reifungsprozess im Holz, prägen die Struktur dieses 2015, reif, einnehmend und von großer Komplexität.
In der Nase sticht das für unsere Bons Ares-Rotweine charakteristische Humusaroma (Sous-Bois) hervor, mit Noten von Kakao und schwarzem Pfeffer.
