Trufa Negra ist ein Wein, der aus Trauben von zwei Weinbergen in der Unterregion Cima Corgo hergestellt wird. Der erste befindet sich in Valença do Douro, es ist ein über 70 Jahre alter Weinberg mit einer Mischung aus 30 einheimischen Rebsorten. Die zweite liegt in Foz do Rio Távora und ist etwa 30 Jahre alt, wobei die vorherrschenden Rebsorten Touriga Franca und Tinta Roriz sind.
Es hat ein konzentriertes Aroma mit Noten von schwarzen Früchten und Gewürzen. Im Mund ist er vollmundig, komplex und verfügt über intensive, gut eingebundene Tannine, die dem Wein einen langen, frischen Abgang verleihen.
