Valle Pradinhos Tinta Gorda Reserva TintoCasta típica do planalto Mirandês, oriunda de duas parcelas, uma plantada em solo de xisto e outra em solo granítico, conduzidas em vaso e com uma idade aproximada de 60 anos (consideradas vinhas velhas segundo o OIV-VITI 703-2024) e plantadas a uma cota entre os 500m e 550m. Acredita-se que a casta Tinta Gorda seja uma sobrevivente da época anterior à filoxera, cuja conservação foi possível devido ao isolamento geográfico da sua área de origem e à elevada produtividade da casta, o que levou aos viticultores a preferirem o seu cultivo. É uma uva tinta de pelicula fina. Resistente às geadas devido à sua brotação tardia, sensível a doenças fúngicas, sendo no entanto sensível à botrytis. É frequentemente comparado ao Pinot Noir.
