Dieser Wein ist ein bemerkenswertes Beispiel für den Noval-Stil. Er wird genauso behandelt wie Vintage-Portwein: Er stammt nur aus edlen Rebsorten der Quinta, die Trauben werden mit dem Fuß getreten und werden nicht gefiltert. Was ihn auszeichnet, ist die Tatsache, dass er vier oder fünf Jahre in Fässern reift, statt zwei Jahre wie Vintage Port. Es handelt sich zweifellos um einen ausgeprägten LBV mit sehr gut strukturierten Tanninen, großer Frische und Reinheit der Frucht. Es ist jetzt köstlich zu trinken, wird aber in der Flasche wunderbar reifen.
