Gelegen im Herzen der Unterregion Cima-Corgo und entlang von 1,5 km von den Gewässern des linken Ufers des Douro-Flusses umspült, verdankt die Quinta das Tecedeiras ihren Namen den Nonnen, die dort lebten und sich der Weberei von Leinen widmeten, das früher dort angebaut wurde. Die Böden sind aus Schiefer und die Ausrichtung ist nach Norden und Osten, mit den Weinbergen zwischen 90 m und 190 m Höhe. Die Trauben reifen gut und mit großer Konzentration von Aromen und Geschmacksnoten, ohne ihre Frische zu verlieren. Bei der Umstellung der Weinberge wurde darauf geachtet, einige Parzellen alter Reben zu belassen, deren Trauben sorgfältig in die Cuvées aller roten DOC- oder Portweine der Tecedeiras integriert werden.
