Dieser Wein ist das Ergebnis einer strengen Auswahl von Trauben der Sorten Tinta Roriz, Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca und Tinta Barroca. Es hat eine tiefrote Farbe. Es überwiegen Aromen von reifen Früchten, Gewürzen, Balsamico und anderen Tertiäraromen. Die aromatische Komplexität dieses Weines wird auch durch die Reifung in edlem französischem Eichenholz und in der Flasche bereichert. Vollmundig und mit einem langen, eleganten und harmonischen Abgang weist er eine längere Haltbarkeit auf, als es für Douro-Weine aus dieser Ernte üblich ist. Es muss dekantiert werden.
