Alvarinho und Palácio da Brejoeira sind fast synonym. Es ist der Hersteller mit der größten Geschichte und Tradition in der Herstellung von Weinen aus dieser Sorte, und man könnte fast sagen, dass der Weißwein Alvarinho dadurch bekannt wurde und den Status hat, den er heute hat. Quinta da Brejoeira liegt in Monção und ist ein Anwesen mit 30 Hektar, davon 18 Weinberge, die ausschließlich mit Alvarinho bepflanzt sind. Das Exlibris des Bauernhofs und der Region ist sein Palast, ein grandioser Bau im neoklassizistischen Stil aus dem Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts (1806). D. Hermínia Paes leitete die Geschicke dieses herrlichen Anwesens und war der große Motor seines Erfolgs. Gewonnen aus der Destillation des „Tresters“ der Rebsorte Alvarinho.
