Der Ursprung von Aguardente Bagaceira Adamus reicht bis in ferne Zeiten in der Geschichte Portugals zurück. Das aktuelle und unzureichende, weniger edle und in Verruf geratene Image eines rustikalen Getränks voller Geschichte musste wiederhergestellt werden. Nach 4 Generationen der Herstellung traditioneller Bagaceira-Brandys wurde der Es ist an der Zeit, auch einen Bagaceira herzustellen, der das Beste eines traditionellen Brandys mit moderneren Details kombiniert, ohne die Seele eines rein portugiesischen und insbesondere Bairrada-Bairradas zu verlieren. Es wurden die besten Traubentrester aus der Vinifikation der besten Baga da Bairrada-Weine ausgewählt und der gesamte Vinifikations- und Reifungsprozess sorgfältig überwacht. Mehrere langsame und detaillierte Destillationen wurden in Kupfergefäßen mit direktem Dampfzug durchgeführt, und die besten Destillate wurden hergestellt ausgewählt, entweder durch Verkostung oder analytisch im Labor.
