Scala Coeli verdankt seinen Namen dem Kloster Santa Maria Scala Coeli, das normalerweise als Kartäuserkloster bekannt ist, dem Ort, an dem die Kartäusermönche in Stille und Gebet lebten. Es resultiert aus den besten Vinifikationen jedes Jahres von weniger traditionellen Rebsorten im Alentejo. Er wird aus den besten Vinifikationen der Ernte gewonnen, unter Verwendung von weniger traditionellen Sorten in der Region. Im Jahr 2020 entstand er aus der Vinifikation der Rebsorte Touriga Nacional, die am 14. September geerntet wurde. An diesem Tag wurden die Trauben sorgfältig gelesen und in den Keller gebracht, wo eine kalte, präfermentative Mazeration stattfand, gefolgt von einer alkoholischen Fermentation bei einer Temperatur von 28ºC und einer verlängerten Mazeration. Gesamte Einmaischung von 30 Tagen. Er reifte 15 Monate in neuen Fässern aus französischer Eiche.
