Der Ursprung des Pêra-Manca-Weins reicht bis ins 15. Jahrhundert zurück. Fundação Eugénio de Almeida – Adega Cartuxa vinifizierte 1990 die erste Ernte von Pêra-Manca. Seitdem ist es zu einer nationalen und internationalen Referenz geworden. Die Pêra-Manca Rot, aus der Ernte 2015. Hergestellt aus Trauben der Sorten Aragonez und Trincadeira, von den Vinhas Velhas da Fundação Eugénio de Almeida, reifte er 18 Monate in französischen Eichenfässern und wurde im September 2017 in Flaschen abgefüllt. Dieser Wein war nicht stabilisiert und mit Im Laufe der Zeit kann eine leichte Ablagerung vorhanden sein, die dekantiert werden sollte.
