Fleischig, prall und bereits sinnlich ist der dunkle Pflaumen-/Lila-Petrus 2003 außergewöhnlich reif und reichhaltig. Obwohl es nicht so exotisch ist wie sein Rivale Lafleur, ist es reichhaltig, berauschend und aufgeladen. Für Pomerol ist es eine Meisterleistung im Weinbau und eine Rache für die Entscheidung von Christian Moueix, fast seinen gesamten Merlot am 3. und 4. September und den Cabernet Franc am 17. September zu ernten. Allerdings ist die Produktion gering... weniger als 1.700 Kisten. Vollmundig, kraftvoll und außergewöhnlich rein, ohne an Noblesse und Eleganz zu verlieren, kann dieser atemberaubende Petrus innerhalb von 2-3 Jahren verzehrt oder drei Jahrzehnte im Keller gelagert werden.
