In der Quinta do Casal da Granja profitieren einige Parzellen von einem Mikroklima, das zu einem morgendlichen Nebel führt, gefolgt von warmen und feuchten Nachmittagen, die die idealen Bedingungen für die Entwicklung des natürlichen Pilzes bekannt als Botrytis Cinérea bieten. Der Grandjó Late Harvest wird aus einer sorgfältigen Auswahl von Semillon-Trauben hergestellt, die von dem Pilz Botrytis Cinérea betroffen sind, einem natürlichen Phänomen, das allgemein als "edelfaule" bezeichnet wird und aufgrund der Dehydrierung der Traube süße und samtige Weine mit feinsten glykämischen Noten produziert.

Das Aroma ist sehr komplex mit Noten von Aprikose, Rosinen und Honig, die mit originalen Nuancen von reifen Zitrusfrüchten und leichten gerösteten Aromen harmonieren.
