Die Weine, die zur Herstellung des Fonseca LBV verwendet werden, werden aus den besten und vollmundigsten roten Portweinen der Ernte 2016 ausgewählt, die von den Weinbergen von Fonseca und anderen renommierten Weingütern in den Regionen Cima Corgo und Douro Superior stammen. Diese Weine reifen in großen Holzfässern (mit etwa 27.500 Litern Fassungsvermögen) und werden nach vier bis sechs Jahren abgefüllt. Es wurde nur eine begrenzte Menge dieses fabelhaften Weins produziert.

Tiefes purpurrotes Kern mit rotem Rand
Am Gaumen Gewürze, wilde Brombeeren, Assam-Tee mit seinen Noten von dunkler Schokolade, Kakao und einem verführerischen kräuterigen Hauch. Er zeigt eine ausgezeichnete Spannung, Konzentration wilder schwarzer Beeren, seidige Tannine und ein frisches, strahlendes Finish mit einem sehr langen und großzügigen Abgang.
Reiche, verführerische und sehr duftende Nase. Noten von Brombeere, Pflaume und wilden Himbeeren sowie Lakritz, mit wunderbarer Spannung. Die Brombeeren verleihen eine zusätzliche Schicht weicher und fleischiger Früchte, eine Mischung aus Himbeere und Johannisbeere, mit einem Hauch von floraler Süße.
