Mehrere Weinberge liegen ganz in der Nähe des Meeres auf dem Grundstück Fajã dos Padres an der Südküste Madeiras in der Gemeinde Quinta Grande. Im Jahr 2006 habe ich meine erste Weinlese mit Trauben gemacht, die in Fajã dos Padres geerntet wurden. Dieser Wein wurde nach der Methode des offenen Ausgusses in einer kontinuierlichen Presse vinifiziert und reifte in den ersten vier Jahren im Lager D (wärmer). Um die Eleganz des Weins zu bewahren, habe ich das Fass 2011 in Lager E (Kühler) überführt, wo es bis zur Abfüllung verblieb. Im September 2023 wurden 1170 Einheiten abgefüllt, alle einzeln nummeriert.

Im Mund rund und voll, die kräftige Säure gleicht den gesamten Gaumen aus. Würziger Melassegeschmack und eine Frische, die in einem cremigen und anhaltenden Abgang anhält.
Intensives Bouquet, süße Noten, Rosinen, Muskatnuss, Karamell, Quitte und reife Feigen.
