Beschreibung
In der Nase süße Orange und Zitrone, hell und lebendig. Fast kristallisiert. Ein Hauch von Harz und Fichte im Abgang, etwas Holz. Am Gaumen sind viele Noten erkennbar, die sofort als Herno-Gin erkennbar sind. Der Geschmack ist ein wenig scharf, ein wenig zitronig, mit einem Hauch von Beeren und butterartigem Zimt. Im mittleren Gaumen nehmen die Alterungsnoten des Hernö Juniper Cask Gin Gestalt an und nehmen eine fast unerwartete Form an: frisches Sägemehl, Geruch von frischem Holz aus dem Baumarkt, ein wenig holzig, dann harzig und kiefernartig mit etwas verbranntem Holz und Zigarre. Ein sehr interessanter Charakter, ganz anders als die meisten gealterten Gins. Der Abgang ist lang, mit weiteren Noten von Harz, Kiefernsaft und sauren Früchten. Wow, ein Geschmack und ziemlich berauschend.
