Der jüngste Vertreter der sechsten Generation der Familie, die seit der Gründung die Geschicke von José Maria da Fonseca leitet, ist Domingos Soares Franco, der neben seiner Funktion als Vizepräsident auch der Önologe dieses Hauses ist und daher eine unverzichtbare Referenz in der Weinbauszene der Region und des Landes darstellt. Obwohl er alle Weine von José Maria da Fonseca signiert, gibt es einige, die er als besonders für sich reserviert. Er nannte sie Domingos Soares Franco – Colecção Privada.
