Die Trauben für diesen Wein stammen aus dem Carril-Weinberg, einem über 70 Jahre alten, nach Norden ausgerichteten Weinberg, und von etwa 100 Jahre alten alten Rebstöcken in der Nähe der Quinta de Nápoles. Batuta entsteht durch eine schonende Weinbereitung mit längerer Mazeration, aber geringer Extraktion, bei der alle Details sorgfältig berücksichtigt werden, um einen komplexen, feinen und eleganten Wein zu erhalten. Er ist voller Konzentration, typisch für die alten Douro-Weinberge, aber gleichzeitig frisch und zart.

angenehme Frische und Säure, präzise Struktur und Tannine, mit würzigem und anhaltendem Abgang.
