Vinha Grande is a Douro red wine, classic and intense, with a well-marked character, which reflects all the richness and quality of the region in creating the best blended wines. Vinha Grande is part of the range of wines from Casa Ferreirinha, the house with the greatest tradition in quality wines in the Douro and one of its biggest references in the world. It is vinified in the modern Quinta do Seixo winery, in Cima Corgo, and in Quinta da Lêda, in Douro Superior, with refined technology. After gentle crushing and de-stemming, the grapes are sent to stainless steel vats where alcoholic fermentation takes place with long macerations. During this period, gentle extractions are carried out using the existing maceration system, reassembly using a pump and or temperature-controlled treading robot.
