Dieser 100 % Merlot ist ein opulenter Petrus, der ganz in der Stilfamilie der 1990er-Jahre steht. Er hat eine dichte Pflaumen-/Violettfarbe und einen süßen Duft nach Brombeeren, Schwarzkirschen, etwas dezentem Toast und Lakritz sowie einem floralen Element. Ein Wein von großer Intensität, einem mehrdimensionalen Mundgefühl und einer vollmundigen, erstaunlichen Konzentration – Chateau Petrus 2009 bietet alles, was Sie von ihm erwarten können. Angesichts der Süße seines Tannins, das dem 1990er sehr ähnlich ist, vermute ich, dass dieser Wein immer „offen für Geschäfte“ sein wird und auch in seiner Jugend attraktiv sein wird.
