Gelegen in São João da Pesqueira, einer der bekanntesten Weinbaugebiete des Douro, hat sich die Quinta de Cidrô zu einem Modell für weinbauliche Experimente für die gesamte Region entwickelt. Auf unberührtem Land wurde Spitzentechnologie eingesetzt, um die besten Rebsorten auf einer Fläche von über 150 ha zu pflanzen. Unter modernen Bedingungen der Temperaturkontrolle und des Schutzes vor Oxidation vergoren, zeigt der Wein alle charakteristischen Merkmale der Rebsorte. Der Quinta de Cidrô Gewurztraminer Branco ist äußerst originell und weicht von Stilen und Konventionen ab. Er ist ein hervorragendes Beispiel für den ausgeprägten Charakter des Douro, wo selbst eine so markante Rebsorte wie Gewurztraminer vollständig von der Region geprägt wird.
