Aguardente Caves São João 1966 Velhíssima è il risultato della produzione con vino della vendemmia 1965, invecchiato per 37 anni in botti di rovere del Limosino e una piccola quantità di botti di rovere nazionale riempite di vino di Porto. Dotato di un aspetto limpido, questo distillato rivela un intenso colore topazio e un aroma ricco e complesso, dove le note di vaniglia e cocco del legno di quercia sono evidenti fin dal primo momento. Si aggiungono sfumature leggermente affumicate, toni dolci di latte e sottigliezze di frutta secca. Al palato è vellutato, raffinato e aromatico, confermando in modo sublime le sensazioni percepite al naso.
