Con un profilo aromatico simile a quello dei Bourbon, Toki è il blend giapponese più americano. Per questa creazione, Shinji Fukuyo, il Chief Blender della casa, ha utilizzato whisky di grano con più carattere e in maggiore proporzione. Il blend è costruito attorno a due componenti principali: whisky di grano di Chita, come ci si aspetterebbe, ma anche single malt di Hakushu invecchiati in botti di rovere bianco americano, ovvero botti ex-Bourbon. Anche la distilleria Yamazaki è presente con la selezione di due single malt: uno invecchiato in botti di Bourbon e l'altro in botti di rovere spagnolo, le famose botti di sherry.
