Borges Reserva Red - Douro Vinification: Total destemming of the grapes followed by gentle crushing. Part of the batch is initially vinified using the traditional method of lagar with foot treading, finishing fermentation in stainless steel tanks, while the remaining batch is vinified only in stainless steel tanks. In both vinifications, a brief pre-fermentation maceration is carried out, followed by fermentation in skin contact for 6-8 days at a controlled temperature of 28-30ºC with relatively frequent pump-overs. After alcoholic fermentation, a maceration period is done after which the wine is separated from the pomace with which it fermented. All the wine ages in French oak barrels for 18 months.

Wine with a deep and multifaceted aroma, with a comforting sensation. It is dominated by a vibrant combination of ripe black fruits and red fruits in compote. Notes of cedar emerge, bringing fresh nuances, harmoniously combined with hints of smoked wood and vanilla from aging in barrels.
