Alvarinho and Palácio da Brejoeira are almost synonymous. It is the producer with the most history and tradition in the production of wines from this grape variety, almost being able to say that it was because of it that the white wine Alvarinho became known and has the status it has today. The Quinta da Brejoeira is located in Monção and is a property of 30 hectares, of which 18 are vineyards exclusively planted with Alvarinho. The ex-libris of the estate and the region is its palace, a grand neoclassical construction from the late 19th century (1806). D. Hermínia Paes presided over the destinies of this magnificent property and was the great architect of its success. Vinification of the Aguardente Velha Palácio da Brejoeira: obtained from the distillation of quality Alvarinho grapes, it is aged in French oak barrels, remaining at a constant temperature in the old cellar of Palácio da Brejoeira, aging for between 10 to 12 years.
