El año 1999 fue uno de los más generosos para la calidad de la uva moscatel en Favaios. Las uvas alcanzaron una concentración extraordinaria que permitió crear este Moscatel lleno de los aromas característicos de la variedad. Luego de una cuidadosa selección de las mejores uvas Favaios, fueron maceradas y fermentadas como es tradicional en la región. La fermentación alcohólica es muy corta, y poco después de subir el manto se sangra la mayor parte del mosto y se aplica el brandy. Una pequeña parte del mosto continúa fermentando y macerando con los hollejos durante unos días más, y sólo más tarde se envejece este mosto tan rico aromáticamente. El primer y segundo mosto fortificado se mezclan y almacenan en barricas de madera muy viejas donde el vino envejece lentamente, mejorando su aroma a lo largo de décadas. Los largos años de crianza en madera también ayudaron a desarrollar y complicar aún más el perfil aromático del vino. como tus papilas gustativas. Es un bello ejemplo de los mejores Moscatel elaborados en la meseta de Favaios. EDICIÓN LIMITADA.
En cuanto al sabor, el vino muestra el dulzor típico del Moscatel de Favaios, muy bien equilibrado con la acidez característica de la meseta.
Presenta aromas característicos de la variedad como naranja y mandarina. También está muy marcado por aromas de miel, pasas, higos secos y caramelo que le aportan una gran complejidad.
