El Whisky Maker's Mark se elabora a través de un proceso artesanal, tiene en su composición trigo de invierno, maíz y cebada, que le confieren un sabor suave y menos picante que los demás. Antes de que el bourbon se coloque en las barricas, la madera se deja al aire libre un mínimo de 9 meses, para eliminar los taninos amargos de la madera y mejorar el sabor a vainilla. Se envejece después de aproximadamente seis años.
