Description
In 1988 I planted one hectare of vines, of the Baga variety, as they were used in the late 1800s before the disastrous invasion of PHYLOXERA. This pest devastated the vineyards in Europe, and from then on the grapevines began to be grafted onto American vines, no longer being planted in Pé Franco. The vineyard is located on sandy soil, as the pest does not develop in vineyards with this type of soil. I liked the result so much that 10 years later I added another hectare and a half. It is with this wine that I try to prove that wines prior to such devastation, even if made in the current way, are different, more concentrated, with a more pronounced character of the variety. From the 2015 harvest, 2366 bottles of 750 ml, 50 bottles of 1.5 l and 50 bottles of 3 l capacity were produced.
