Description
The Château Beau‑Séjour Bécot 2014 is a Saint‑Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B of excellent finesse and elegance. With about Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, this vintage was aged for 16 months in French barrels (65% new wood), well reflecting the limestone terroir of the region. Critics gave it high scores: 93 points from Neal Martin, who highlights the sensual aroma of macerated cherries, wild strawberry and vanilla, with freshness, filigree tannins and evident balance. Jancis Robinson commented on its youthful color, dried fruits and fresh finish; Vinum praised its elegance, density and polished tannins. It is a full-bodied wine, with vibrant acidity and good structure, suitable to pair with red meats, game and strong cheeses, showing excellent aging potential — ideal for consumption between 2020 and 2035‑2040.
