The Château Beau‑Séjour Bécot 1988 is a classic and fully mature Saint‑Émilion Grand Cru Classé B. With a blend of approximately Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, it shows a solid color and concentrated aromas of ripe black fruits, licorice, earthy spices and notes of mushrooms and dried herbs. On the palate it is structured, full-bodied and quite persistent, with velvety tannins now gently integrated, offering a luxurious texture and a complex profile that still maintains elegance even after decades of aging. It is a wine to be enjoyed now, ideal with red meats and game dishes, fully demonstrating the finesse of the limestone terroirs of Saint‑Émilion.
