The Château Beau‑Séjour Bécot 2001 is a Saint‑Émilion Premier Grand Cru Classé B that is now at a very advanced stage, with its peak drinkability possibly extending until around 2025. With a classic blend of approximately Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, the wine displays intense aromas of cassis, ripe cherry, dried herbs, new leather, smoke and licorice, resulting in a profile that combines fruity richness with surprising elegance for the flamboyant style typical of the region. Structurally, it is medium to full-bodied, with matured tannins, moderate acidity and a long finish, already showing maturity but still present. Classic and balanced, it is the ideal accompaniment for red meats, game dishes or strong cheeses, well representing the limestone terroir of Saint‑Émilion.
