THE WINE 1872 Quinta da Foz Touriga Nacional 2020, stands out in the long history of Quinta da Foz as an immortal date, perpetuated in the inscription on a stone on the facade of the main house, marking the foundation of the Quinta. To celebrate an eternal work and pay homage to the men and women who dedicated themselves to caring for the vineyards throughout these centuries, we created a special wine inspired by this heritage. Rare, heritage, with a historical personality, it tells us about the long tradition of Quinta da Foz. For this special edition, a blend made solely with the queen grape variety, Touriga Nacional, was carefully prepared. This wine is born by choosing the best Touriga Nacional strains from our old vineyards.
Deep ruby color.
Good notes of vegetal character that remind us of the vineyard and its soil. In the mouth it has good volume, round and young tannins. Finishes fresh, with the presence of young tannins.
Intense aroma with hints of fruit and very ripe floral notes. With wood present but well integrated and discreet, resulting in a very complex set with sweet notes, some spices, keeping the floral notes of the variety alive.
