Description
The Taylor's Porto Vintage 2011, produced by Taylor's Fladgate in Portugal, in the Douro region, is a remarkable example that reflects the excellence of the house's winemaking. With a capacity of 75 cl and an alcohol content of 20.5%, this wine is made from a careful selection of grape varieties, including Touriga Nacional, Touriga Franca, Red Roriz, Red Barroca, and Red Cão, under the guidance of the winemaker David Guimaraens. On tasting, it shows an impenetrable blue-black colour with a fine purple rim, a nose rich in blackberry and blackcurrant aromas, complemented by floral notes of violets. On the palate, the berry flavours persist, revealing a combination of dense fruit and hints of aromatic herbs, with tannins that provide an attractive austerity. This Vintage is produced only in exceptional years and reflects the tradition and quality of Taylor's estates, such as Quinta de Vargellas, Quinta de Terra Feita, and Quinta do Junco.
