"O Quinta de Ervamoira is an interpretation of a unique and special place on the banks of the Côa River that, after vinification in a lagar, undergoes an aging process of 18 months in French oak: 40% in large casks, 30% in new barrels, 30% in 1-year-old barrels, and 12 months in bottle. It was also at this Quinta that modern Douro viticulture was born. For the first time, in 1974, the 5 previously studied and selected grape varieties were planted, trained towards a greater slope. At Quinta de Ervamoira, sustainable viticulture is practiced with respect for biodiversity and without the use of any herbicides or pesticides. For the production of the DOC Douro Quinta de Ervamoira, the Ramos Pinto team selected small plots of chosen parcels that were carefully harvested and vinified. With a bright garnet color, the DOC Douro Quinta de Ervamoira red is very expressive and has enormous aromatic complexity. On the palate, it is pure elegance. With a silky start, a growing volume, and an intense and persistent finish.
