À la Quinta do Casal da Granja, certaines parcelles bénéficient d'un microclimat conduisant à un brouillard matinal suivi d'après-midis chaudes et humides qui présentent les conditions idéales pour le développement du champignon naturel connu sous le nom de Botrytis Cinérea. Le Grandjó Late Harvest est élaboré à partir d'une sélection rigoureuse de raisins Semillon affectés par le champignon Botrytis Cinérea, phénomène naturel communément désigné par "pourriture noble" et qui, en fonction de la déshydratation du raisin, produit des vins doux et onctueux avec de fines notes glycémiques.

À la dégustation, le vin remplit le palais d'une douceur volumineuse et d'une onctuosité glycérique, mettant en valeur les différentes couches de saveurs qui étaient déjà devinées au nez. Il se termine très long et persistant.
L'arôme est très complexe avec des notes d'abricot, de raisins secs et de miel qui se marient avec des nuances originales d'agrumes mûrs et de légers arômes grillés.
