„Die Quinta de Ervamoira ist die Interpretation eines einzigartigen und besonderen Ortes am Ufer des Flusses Côa, der nach der Vinifikation im Lagar 18 Monate in französischer Eiche reift: 40% Fässer, 30% neue Barriques, 30% Barriques von 1 Jahr, 12 Monate in der Flasche. Hier in dieser Quinta entstand auch der moderne Weinbau im Douro. Zum ersten Mal wurden 1974 die 5 zuvor studierten und ausgewählten Rebsorten gepflanzt, die in Richtung eines größeren Gefälles geleitet wurden. In der Quinta de Ervamoira wird ein Weinbau praktiziert, der auf dem Respekt vor der Biodiversität basiert und ohne den Einsatz von Pestiziden oder Herbiziden auskommt. Für die Herstellung des DOC Douro Quinta de Ervamoira wählte das Team von Ramos Pinto kleine Parzellen ausgewählter Flächen, die sorgfältig gelesen und vinifiziert wurden. Mit einer strahlenden, granatfarbenen Farbe ist der DOC Douro Quinta de Ervamoira Rotwein sehr ausdrucksstark und mit enormer aromatischer Komplexität. Am Gaumen ist er pure Eleganz. Mit einem seidigen Anfang, einem wachsenden Volumen und einem intensiven, anhaltenden Finale. Laut João Luís Baptista, dem verantwortlichen Önologen für die Weine des Douro bei Casa Ramos Pinto, ist der DOC Douro Quinta de Ervamoira 2018 „ein einzigartiger Wein aus einem außergewöhnlichen Jahr, in dem sich Eleganz, Konzentration, Frische, feine und weiche Tannine vereinen“. „Hier ist es!“ Hier, wo der Douro wiedergeboren wird..."
