Die Rebsorte Encruzado ist exklusiv in der Region Dão, sie ist ziemlich ausgewogen, aromatisch und verleiht den Weinen eine große Langlebigkeit. Die Pflanzen wachsen an Hängen in Höhenlagen zwischen 350 und 400 Metern. Der Weinberg wird im Rahmen eines integrierten Schutzprogramms bewirtschaftet, wobei der Einsatz von Herbiziden verboten ist. Die Kontrolle der Unkräuter erfolgt durch Bodenbearbeitung. Die Lese erfolgt manuell, wenn die Trauben den optimalen Reifegrad erreicht haben, was in der zweiten Septemberhälfte liegt. Dieser Wein der ersten Produktion wurde bei 13ºC in Edelstahl vinifiziert, wobei zwei Drittel der Menge die Fermentation in neuen Fässern aus französischer Eiche abgeschlossen haben, wo er 12 Monate reifte. Produktion: 1.300 Flaschen.
