In den Höhenlagen von Medrões, im Douro, wurde vor fünf Generationen die Familie Alves de Sousa für den Wein geboren. Weg von der Hitze... Im Schatten der Serra do Marão. An diesen Hängen wurde in den frühen 90er Jahren ein neuer Blick auf die weißen Rebsorten geworfen und begann zu skizzieren, was aus unseren Weißen werden würde. Und neue Facetten einer sehr reichen und vielfältigen Region entdecken – ein zarter und eleganter Douro, aus den höchsten und frischesten Lagen, mit akribisch kombinierten und verarbeiteten autochthonen Rebsorten voller Mineralität und Komplexität. In den familiären Wurzeln fanden wir den Geburtsort eines neuen weißen Menschen.
